As a result, net turnover in the period reached VND128,65 billion, increasing 28,6% over the same period of last year. This is also the highest turnover PDN has achieved since being listed on the stock exchange; gross profit reached VND40,4 billion, increasing 25% compared with the second quarter of 2016.

Dong Nai Port Joint Stock Company (PDN) has just announced financial statement of the second quarter of 2017.

During the period, revenue from Financial Activities increased upto VND2,46 billion while the cost of this activity decreased by 12%. After deducting expenses, PDN gained a net profit of VND23,4 billion, raising up 39% compared with the same period, EPS equivalent to VND1,896 dong.

In the first 6 months of 2017, PDN achieved VND241,55 billion of net revenue and VND41,7 billion of after tax profit, increasing by 30% and 35% respectively compared with the same period of last year; six month EPS reached VND3.137.
In 2017, PDN's targets has been set up VND440 billion for turnover, pre-tax profit is expected to reach VND72 billion. For the first half of the year, PDN has fulfilled 55% of turnover and 64% pre-tax profit planned.

Dong Nai port has an impressive turnover and profit growth chart with continuous growth over the past 10 years.

PDN, located in the economic quadrangle area (Dong Nai - Binh Duong - Vung Tau - Ho Chi Minh City), is considered as the most dynamic economic region in the country with important strategic location in northeast of Saigon, near major seaports in HCM City such as Ports: Cat Lai, VICT, SPCT and deep-sea ports in Ba Ria - Vung Tau area on Thi Vai - Cai Mep river with convenient roadway and waterway systems.

In 2017, PDN is expected to expand around 50ha yard in Go Dau Port to operate specialized coal with the capacity of receiving vessels from 30.000 to 40.000DWT, diversifying logistics services, minimizing costs, time, bringing more advantages to customers when using services in PDN. In addition, PDN strives to operate new sources in Nhon Trach, Long Thanh as well as neighboring Industrial Parks. In the future, PDN strives to become a logistics center of South-East Provinces. After 2018, seaports and ICDs in Ho Chi Minh City will be moved out of their current position. PDN has developed a competitive capacity to take advantage of this opportunity.
