BROOKLYN, N.Y. (AP) _ Dime Community Bancshares Inc. (DCOM) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $6.9 million.

On a per-share basis, the Brooklyn, New York-based company said it had profit of $19. Earnings, adjusted for one-time items, were 27 cents per share.

The bank holding company posted revenue of $64 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $43 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $36.2 million, or $1.01 per share. Revenue was reported as $159.6 million.

Dime shares have declined 4% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $20.03, a climb of nearly 8% in the last 12 months.
