Moderator: As the scheduled time has arrived, we are now commencing the Q1 Financial Results Briefing for the Fiscal Year Ending March 2024 of Dexerials Corporation.
First, allow me to introduce the attendees. We are joined by our Representative Director and President, Yoshihisa Shinya; Executive Officer, Kazuyoshi Terashita; and the General Manager of our PR& IR Department, Shinji Tomita. These are the three individuals present.
We anticipate concluding at 2:00 PM. Please be aware that we also have media representatives present today. In terms of the Q&A session, we will first address questions from those physically present, before taking questions from participants on the Zoom webinar.

These are the highlights.
First, regarding the results of Q1, we experienced a decrease in both sales and profits compared to the same period of the previous year. On the other hand, QoQ, we saw an increase in both sales and profits, indicating that the bottom was in Q4 of the last fiscal year. Furthermore, excluding the effects of a weaker yen, the results are largely in line with our initial expectations.
Although sales for Chinese smartphones surpassed our expectations, sales for high‐end smartphones were moved back due to delays in sensor module production.
The market environment has not significantly changed from our initial expectations, and there are no changes to our full‐year earnings forecast.
Finally , I would like to talk about the integrated company in the photonics domain, which we announced yesterday.
