Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corp. Ltd. announced unaudited earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2011. For the quarter, the company reported revenues of INR 6,014.9 million compared to INR 3,750.3 million for the same period prior year. The increase in revenue is driven by the strong increase in both own manufactured fertilisers and chemicals. Operating EBDTA was INR 998.7 million as compared to INR 818.9 million for the same period prior year. Profit before tax was INR 629 million as compared to INR 569.7 million for the same period prior year. Profitability was impacted adversely do the extent of INR 220 million by rupee depreciation. Profit after tax was INR 496.5 million against INR 402.6 million for the same period prior year. Profit before interest and exceptional items were INR 851.3 million against INR 717.3 million for the same period a year ago. For the nine months, the company reported revenues of INR 16,525.5 million compared to INR 11,363.4 million for the same period prior year. Profit before tax was INR 2,259.8 million as compared to INR 1,879.1 million for the same period prior year. Profit after tax was INR 1,674.9 million against INR 1,339 million for the same period prior year. Profit before interest and exceptional items were INR 2,758.6 million against INR 2,228.2 million for the same period a year ago.
