The New York-based company said it had profit of 6 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and amortization costs, were 45 cents per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 13 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 34 cents per share.

The data analytics and cloud monitoring company posted revenue of $547.5 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Fourteen analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $523.3 million.

For the current quarter ending in December, Datadog expects its per-share earnings to range from 42 cents to 44 cents.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $564 million to $568 million for the fiscal fourth quarter.

Datadog expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.52 to $1.54 per share, with revenue ranging from $2.1 billion to $2.11 billion.
