Daihatsu Diesel Mfg. Co., Ltd. reported consolidated earnings results for the nine months ended December 31, 2018. For the nine months, the company reported net sales of ¥39,076 million against ¥42,872 million a year ago. Operating profit was ¥1,028 million against ¥1,940 million a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of parent was ¥738 million against ¥1,405 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share were ¥23.20 against ¥44.14 per share a year ago.
For the year ending March 31, 2019, the company expects net sales of ¥57,000 million, operating profit of ¥3,000 million, profit attributable to owners of parent of ¥2,000 million or ¥62.79 per basic share.
DAIHATSU DIESEL MFG. CO., LTD. is a Japan-based company engaged in the manufacturing and sales of internal combustion engines and industrial machines, as well as the leasing of real estate properties. The Company operates through two business segments. The Marine Engine Related Business segment is engaged in the sales of marine diesel engines, land diesel engines, gas turbines and related parts. The Land Engine segment is engaged in the provision of information processing service, transportation service, warehousing service, contracted design service, manufacturing and sales business and after services. The other business is engaged in the industrial equipment related business, real estate leasing related business and power distribution related business.
