Daicel Corporation is mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of cellulose products, organic synthetic products, synthetic resin products, pyrotechnic products and others. The Company operates in five business segments. The Cellulose segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of cellulose acetate, acetate tow for cigarette filters, carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC). The Organic Synthesis segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of acetic acid derivatives, epoxy compounds, semiconductor resist materials and others.
