JOINT PRESS RELEASE
CREDITO EMILIANO AND CREDEMHOLDING STRUCTURING THE NEW "EURO MEDIUM TERM NOTE PROGRAMME" FOR 5 BILLIONS EURO
On March 10th 2023, the new "Euro Medium Term Note" Programme of Credito Emiliano S.p.A. and Credemholding S.p.A has been finalised. The issuers, through such Programme, shall be entitled to issue Senior Unsecured Notes, both preferred and non-preferred, and Tier 2 subordinated loans, which may be subscribed by institutional and retail investors (in respect with the current regulation), up to a maximum amount of 5 billions euro. The Notes, under the Programme shall be issued also on an ESG format, as indicated in the Group's "Green, Social and Sustainability Bond Framework".
Having the EMTN Programme, on the sideline of the already existing Covered Bond Programme, Credem's Group can further consolidate its presence on the capital market, expanding its funding methods and strengthening its quickness to access the market, in order to fulfill its financial and capital needs.
The EMTN Programme's arranger is BNP Paribas. From a legal aspect, Credito Emiliano and Credemholding have been assisted by the law firm Allen & Overy, while BNP Paribas has been assisted by the law firm Clifford Chance.
