Cray Inc Wins $36 Million Contract from European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts in UK

Cray Inc. announced that it won a contract valued at $36 million to upgrade and expand the Cray XC supercomputers and Cray Sonexion storage system at the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts located in the U.K. Under the new contract, Cray will expand and upgrade the supercomputers, which were supplied under a contract signed in June 2013, to new Cray XC40 systems. Cray will also delivery an additional Cray Sonexion 2000 scale-out Lustre storage, and a 32-node Cray XC40-AC system.

The Company's segments include Supercomputing, Storage and Data Management, Maintenance and Support, and Engineering Services and Other.
