On May 16, COSCO SHIPPING signed the cooperation agreement with GeoSea NV, the subsidiary of DEME Group, a Belgian marine engineering giant, to establish a new joint venture company 'Guangzhou COSCO SHIPPING DELI New Energy Engineer Co, Ltd., which marks its officially entering into the offshore wind power equipment transport plus installation market. Meanwhile, to accord with the domestic standards of engineering projects for enterprising and engineering qualification, COSCO SHIPPING will set up a sole-proprietorship subsidiary company.
According to the cooperation agreement, the whole investment for the joint venture company is 150 million CNY with two companies' equity ratio 50%:50%.The establishment of the joint venture company will introduce advanced wind power equipment installation techniques to extend industrial chain integrated business such as basic design & construction, project management, offshore wind plant operation and maintenance. It will also integrate superior resources between China COSCO Shipping and DEME.
