CHANGE OF CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

The board of directors (the "Board") of CITIC Resources Holdings Limited (the "Company", together with its subsidiiries, the "Group") hereby announces that with effect from 13 April 2021, Mr. Wong Wai Kwok (''Mr. Wong'') has stepped down from his role as the chief financial officer of the Company (the ''Chief Financial Officer'') due to reassignment of duties and responsibilities. Mr. Wong will remain as the company secretary and authorised representative of the Company for accepting service of process and notices on behalf of the Company in Hong Kong and authorised representative of the Company under rule 3.05 of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.

Mr. Wong has confirmed that he has no disagreement with the Board and there is no matter that needs to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of the Company in relation to the change of his position.

The Board further announces that Mr. Wang Xinli (''Mr. Wang XL'') has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer with effect from 13 April 2021. The biographical details of Mr. Wang XL are set out as follows:

Mr. Wang XL, aged 50, joined in 2012 as a Vice President of the Company. He is a director of a subsidiary and several joint ventures of the Company. Mr. Wang XL holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting from the Beijing Institute of Machinery Industry. He is a qualified accountant of China. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Wang XL had held various positions in several subsidiaries of 中

國中信集團有限公司 (CITIC Group Corporation), a controlling shareholder of the Company and have

accumulated various working experience across different industries such as oil and gas, aluminum processing, trading, construction, etc. Mr. Wang XL has over 27 years' experience in accounting and financial management aspects, especially in new project assessment.

The Board would like to take this opportunity to express its sincere gratitude to Mr. Wong for his contribution to the Group throughout his term of office as Chief Financial Officer, and welcome Mr. Wang XL on his new appointment.
