Cinemark Holdings, Inc. Announces Executive Changes

Cinemark Holdings, Inc. announced that Sean Gamble has been named Chief Operating Officer in addition to his current role as Chief Financial Officer. Cinemark has also expanded the leadership team with the appointment of Wanda Gierhart to Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. With Mr. Gamble’s Chief Operating Officer promotion he will take on further responsibility for global content programming, business development, purchasing and investor relations, while maintaining oversight for Cinemark’s financial operations, information technology and advanced analytics. Mr. Gamble has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Cinemark since August 2014. Prior to joining Cinemark, Mr. Gamble worked for the Comcast Corporation as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Universal Pictures within NBCUniversal. Before joining Cinemark, Ms. Gierhart served as Chief Marketing Officer for several organizations, including Neiman Marcus Group, Design Within Reach and Limited Brands. Ms. Gierhart has executive leadership experience as President and CEO of TravelSmith.
Cinemark Holdings, Inc., is engaged in the motion picture exhibition business. The Company operates through two segments: United States markets and international markets. It operates 501 theatres and 5,719 screens in the United States, and Latin America. The Companyâs United States circuit operated 309 theatres and 4,324 screens and its Latin America circuit operated 192 theatres and 1,395 screens across 13 countries. It also plays mainstream films from many different genres, such as animated films, family films, dramas, comedies, horror, and action films. The Company offers various alternative entertainment content for its guests, which includes concert, sporting, and gaming events, as well as art, independent, faith-based, and multicultural foreign language films. In addition, it provides the functionality and technological infrastructure to live-stream events via satellite network across its portfolio of theatres in the United States and Latin America.
