Neubiberg/Munich, September 23, 2016 - CHORUS Clean Energy AG ('CHORUS'), the specialists in solar and wind park operation based in Neubiberg near Munich, was commissioned by a major German pension fund to expand its portfolio of renewable energy parks. With the funds from this capital commitment, CHORUS has acquired its first wind park in the Jerichower Land district in Saxony-Anhalt. Providing a total capacity of 18.8 megawatts (MW), the turbines were developed and assembled by the tradition-rich construction company JOHANN BUNTE from Papenburg. The total capacity of the portfolio managed by CHORUS thereby rises above 530 MW.

The Parey wind park consists of eight Enercon E-92 turbines with a hub height of nearly 104 meters and a nominal capacity of 2.35 MW per unit. Its turbines have been connected to the medium-voltage grid since July 2016. For the coming 20 years, the Parey wind park will receive a guaranteed feed-in tariff paying an average of 87.20 euros per megawatt-hour. The wind park should produce more than 33,000 megawatt-hours of clean energy with every full year of operation and thereby save the equivalent of 20,000 tons of environmentally unfriendly CO2.

'The most recent capital commitment from a renowned pension fund shows the great faith that institutional investors have in the management expertise of CHORUS. With the wind park acquired for the customer, we have strengthened our portfolio with a profitable site in Saxony-Anhalt. We are pleased about the capital commitment and that we can manage the park for our customer over the long term,' says Holger Götze, CEO of CHORUS Clean Energy AG.
