China Taiping Insurance Holdings Co Ltd is an investment holding company principally engaged in insurance businesses. The Company operates its business through six segments. The Life Insurance segment provides participating insurance, annuity insurance and health insurance, among others. The Peopleâ€™s Republic of China (PRC) Property and Casualty Insurance segment provides motor insurance, marine insurance and non-marine insurance in the PRC. The Reinsurance segment provides reinsurance services. The Pension and Group Life Insurance segment provides corporate and personal retirement insurance and group life insurance. The Overseas Property and Casualty Insurance segment provides property and casualty insurance in Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, the United Kingdom and Indonesia. The Other Business segment includes asset management, insurance intermediary businesses, financial leasing, property investment and the dealing and broking of securities.
