VOLUNTARY ANNOUNCEMENT TERMINATION OF LETTER OF INTENT FOR

STRATEGIC COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH CAISSA TRAVEL AND AIRPORTS CORPORATION OF VIETNAM

This announcement is made by China Netcom Technology Holdings Limited (the

''Company'') on a voluntary basis.

Reference is made to the announcement (the ''Announcement'') of the Company dated 9 January 2017 in relation to the letter of intent for strategic cooperation agreement with Caissa Travel and Airports Corporation of Vietnam regarding the business development in Phu Quoc (the ''Possible Transaction''). Unless the context otherwise requires, capitalised terms defined in the Announcement shall have the same meanings when used herein.

The Board announces that due to the failure of reaching a concrete cooperation plan between the relevant parties, the Possible Transaction has been terminated. The Board considers that the termination of the Possible Transaction has no material adverse impact on the existing business, operation or financial position of the Company.
