China Kangda Food Company Limited provided preliminary group earnings guidance for the year ended December 31, 2017. The board of directors of the company inform the shareholders of the company and potential investors that, based on a preliminary review of the unaudited financial information of the group for the year ended 31 December 2017 and information currently available to the board, the group may potentially record a loss in its consolidated financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2017 as compared to the profit recorded by the group for the year ended 31 December 2016. Based on the information currently available to the board, the expected decline in the unaudited net profit of the group was mainly attributable to the increase of the mortality rate of the chicken resulting from the bad weather in 2017; and the increase in administrative cost mainly arose from the higher professional fees and employees' cost.
