IMPROVEMENT IN LOSS POSITION

This announcement is made by the Company pursuant to Rule 13.09 of the Listing Rules and the Inside Information Provisions under Part XIVA of the SFO.

The Board wishes to inform the shareholders and potential investors of the Company that based on a preliminary review of the unaudited consolidated management accounts of the Group and other information currently available to the Group, the Group is expected to record a decrease in consolidated net loss attributable to equity owners of the Company for the financial year ended 31 December 2017 by more than 50% as compared to the financial year ended 31 December 2016. Such improvement in loss position is primarily due to net loss in fair value of investment properties in 2016 turnaround to net profit in fair value of investment properties in 2017. This announcement is only based on the preliminary review of the consolidated management accounts of the Group which have yet to be confirmed, reviewed or audited by the auditors or property valuers of the Company.

Shareholders and potential investors of the Company should exercise caution when dealing in the shares of the Company.

The board of directors (the "Board") of China Agri-Products Exchange Limited (the "Company" together with its subsidiaries, the "Group") wishes to inform the shareholders and potential investors of the Company that based on a preliminary review of the unaudited consolidated management accounts of the Group and other information currently available to the Group, the Group is expected to record a decrease in consolidated net loss attributable to equity owners of the Company for the financial year ended 31 December 2017 by more than 50% as compared to the financial year ended 31 December 2016. Such improvement in loss position is primarily due to net loss in fair value of investment properties in 2016 turnaround to net profit in fair value of investment properties in 2017.

As the Company is still in the course of preparing its annual results for the year ended 31 December 2017, the information contained in this announcement is only based on the preliminary review of the consolidated management accounts of the Group which have yet to be confirmed, reviewed or audited by the auditors or property valuers of the Company. The audited annual results of the Group for the year ended 31 December 2017 will be announced in due course by the Company in accordance with the requirements under the Listing Rules.
