TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Sep 29, 2015) - Chieftain Metals Corp. (TSX VENTURE:CFB) ("Chieftain" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that Mr. Keith Marshall has joined the Company's Board of Directors, effective immediately and will also serve as Chairman of the Technical Committee.

Mr. Marshall has over 35 years' experience in the mining industry and has worked on major projects around the world. Specialising in underground mining, Mr. Marshall has developed a wealth of technical and managerial experience and has spent the last fifteen years in senior mine leadership roles. In his last two operational roles with Rio Tinto Plc, he served as Managing Director of the Palabora Mining Company in South Africa and President of the Oyu Tolgoi Project in Mongolia. Also, Mr. Marshall, previously served as General Manager at the Greens Creek project in Alaska.
