Chargeurs appoints Patrick Bonnefond as Managing Director of its Chargeurs Technical Substrates divisionMichaël Fribourg, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Chargeurs, said: "We are delighted to welcome Patrick Bonnefond as new Managing Director of Chargeurs Technical Substrates. New leadership at Chargeurs Technical SubstratesBernard Finckenbein, Managing Director of Chargeurs Technical Substrates, is due to retire on January 31st, 2017, after 45 years of an outstanding and diversified career with Chargeurs. Recently, Bernard Finckenbein, who will keep a loyalty and exclusive expertise with Chargeurs, has successfully launched the industrial and commercial implementation of a large width production line (5 meters) in order to accelerate the growth of the division.
After this success, Chargeurs appointed Patrick Bonnefond to succeed Bernard Finckenbein as Managing Director of Chargeurs Technical Substrates. Patrick Bonnefond's mission will be to accelerate the internationalization of the division. Patrick Bonnefond also becomes a member of the Group's Executive Committee.
Biography of Patrick Bonnefond:A chemical engineer by training and a graduate of IAE Lyon School of Management, Patrick Bonnefond, 55, began his career in 1987 as a production engineer with Sofileta. He became Managing Director at the age of 29, and was instrumental in the group's rise to the rank of European leader in niche textiles.
In 2009, he took over HTH, the silk and textiles division of the Hermès group, where he began modernizing and reshaping the business to boost the unique, fully vertically integrated center of excellence equipped to pursue a strong growth strategy.
Patrick Bonnefond's career took him overseas in 2014, when he was appointed to head the silk division of Chinese conglomerate Wensli, a leading producer of silk accessories. As Chief Executive Officer, Mr Bonnefond oversaw the company's globalization strategy.
A strong advocate of innovation, Patrick Bonnefond is also founder of the Métis cluster and has been actively involved in competitiveness clusters such as Minalogic and Techtera.
