OLDENBURG (dpa-AFX) - The photo service provider Cewe has benefited from brisk demand for its photo products at the beginning of the year. Revenue for the three months to the end of March rose by around 6.6 percent year-on-year to 165.7 million euros, as the SDax-listed company announced in Oldenburg on Wednesday. The production of photo prints and photo gifts, which accounts for the lion's share of sales and operating profit, was the main contributor. Cewe earned 8.1 million euros before taxes and interest, which is around 55 percent more than a year ago.

The Executive Board confirmed the forecast. At 770 to 820 million euros, turnover could be both higher and lower than in the previous year. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) could also be below or above the previous year's figure at 77 to 87 million euros./ngu/stk
