CENTURY GLOBAL COMMODITIES CORPORATION Century Iron Mines Corporation announced the appointment of Robert E. Girardin, Ing as logistics development executive. Mr. Girardin will report directly to Hubert Vallée, Senior Vice President, Logistics, Mine Development and Operations. Based in Sept-Iles, Mr. Girardin will lead the logistics operations and assist in Century Iron's development and implementation of mining exploration plans as it brings its major iron ore bodies into production over the next five years and beyond.
His initial responsibilities will focus on assisting Hubert Vallée in building the logistics solutions for the Company's Labrador Trough and Duncan Lake projects. Robert E. Girardin comes to Century Iron from Cliffs Canada Inc., formerly Consolidated Thompson Iron Mines Limited. Most recently, he was General Manager, Business Improvement Eastern Canada.
