Saudi healthcare conglomerate, Tamer Group (Farouk, Maamoun Tamer & Company), could acquire 30% of Egyptian pharma distributor, United Company of Pharmacists S.A.E. (UCP), for $35 million (?32.7 million) before the end of this year, Bloomberg Asharq Business reported. American wholesale company AmerisourceBergen (Cencora, Inc. (NYSE:COR)), which owns 50% of UCP, is the potential seller. The remaining 50% of the company is owned by the family of the founder, Hossam Omar.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) is advising AmerisourceBergen on the transaction, according to Asharq.
