Cebu Air : Pacific transports new batch of COVID-19 vaccines from China

Over500,000 airlifted to Manila
The Philippines' leading carrier, Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB) carried another batch of 500,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses from Beijing to Manila today, May 20, 2021. This shipment was the third to be picked up by CEB, in coordination with the Department of Health (DOH).
Aboard CEB's chartered A330 flight 5J 671, these vaccines were safely flown in temperature-controlled containers, and arrived at the NAIA at 7:35 this morning.
'We remain committed to support the government's ongoing vaccination program,' said Alex Reyes, Chief Strategy Officer at Cebu Pacific. 'We are grateful for the opportunity to provide our expertise in international shipments, and we hope to continuously contribute by bringing in more life-saving vaccines from abroad.'
Upon arrival in Manila, all vaccines were inspected by authorities prior to transferring to refrigerated trucks via electric forklifts.
From March 2021 to present, CEB has already transported 2.5 million vaccine doses from China to Manila, and more than one million doses to various parts of the Philippines namely, Bacolod, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cotabato, Davao, Legazpi, Masbate, Puerto Princesa, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Virac and Zamboanga.
CEB operates the widest domestic network in the Philippines covering 32 destinations, on top of its six (6) international destinations. Its 74-strong fleet, one of the youngest in the world, includes two (2) dedicated ATR freighters and one (1) A330 freighter.
