Appointment of CBZ Holdings Limited Chairman

Luxon Zembe | Chairman of CBZ Holdings Limited

The Board of Directors of CBZ Holdings Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Luxon Zembe as the Chairman of CBZ Holdings Limited ("the Company"), with effect from 19 April 2024. He has been the Acting Chairman of the Company since 1 December 2023.

Luxon is a highly experienced business management consultant who has consulted for many reputable private, public and Non Governmental organizations locally and regionally over the past 30 years. His corporate journey has taken him through practical executive experience in manufacturing, mining, financial and commercial sectors of the economy. This includes serving on the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Advisory Board and Monetary Policy Committees, as well as holding executive positions at Standard Chartered Bank. Luxon is a respected and experienced corporate strategist and currently is a Senior Consultant, Mentor and Trainer for the Zimbabwe Institute of Directors. His corporate leadership, moral compass and integrity has stood the test of time making him adequately positioned to provide strategic leadership in the Company.

Luxon holds an MBA degree from Henley International Business School and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) (UK), Fellow of the Institute of Directors, Fellow of Zimbabwe Institute of Management, amongst other qualifications. Luxon is the Past President of the African Chamber of Commerce and founding Vice President of Pan African Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He served as an Independent Non-Executive Director on the ZB Financial Holdings Board from 21 September 2022 and was appointed as Chairman on 1 August 2023 and retired from the Board on 12 April 2024.
