bpost is down 7% in Brussels, following the Group's announcement that it expects adjusted EBIT of €165 to €185 million in 2024, before the impact of the Staci consolidation, and a single-digit percentage drop in operating income (bottom of the range).

The Belgian postal operator explains that these new targets follow on from the agreements reached with press publishers, but also reflect continuing unfavorable market conditions in North America.

Group EBIT will also include lower EBIT in the Corporate segment, reflecting the discontinuation of the building sales program, and higher operating expenses linked to strategic initiatives and compliance.
