Bodal Chemicals Limited announced that the board of director has appointed Mr. Nalin kumar as Independent Director of the company. Mr. Nalin Kumar is a well experienced investor and Investment banker having worked in most of the global financial centers, with bulge bracket investment banks, during his 24 years experience in the financial services domain. Mr. Kumar has worked in Mumbai, NewYork, Hong Kong and Singapore with leading financial services firms including HSBC, JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley and Rabo Bank where he has had held positions of increasing responsibility. Mr. Kumar's expertise includes several industry domains and across the capital structure. Mr. Kumar was head of the private equity and real estate business for JM Morgan Stanley, India during 2005 to 2009, MD and Head of investment banking at Rabobank from 2009 to 2011 and CEO of First Rand Bank, India during 2012-13. Mr. Kumar's most recent role has been Chief Investment Officer for Alternate Assets at Srei Group.
Bodal Chemicals Limited is an India-based company, which is engaged in the business of manufacturing dyes, dye intermediates and basic chemicals. The Company is also a manufacturer of other chemicals, such as sulfuric acid, camphor sulfonic acid (CSA), oleum, beta naphthol and acetanilide. Its divisions include dye intermediates division, dyestuff division, sulfur and bulk chemical division, water purification division, chlor alkali division, pharma division. Its dye intermediate division produces approximately 25 variants of dye intermediates with VINYL SUPHONE (Acetanilide Base) as the core product. The Company manufactures approximately 150 variants of dyestuff, which are principally used as raw materials in textiles, leather, paper and other dyestuff consuming industries. It produces a water purification chemical, Trichloroisocyanuric Acid (TCCA 90), which is used in civil sanitation for pools and spas, preventing and curing diseases in animal husbandry and fisheries.
