BLUE COAT SYS : Blue Coat Chief Executive Officer Mike Borman Appointed to Board of Directors

Blue Coat Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:BCSI), the technology leader in Application Delivery Networking, today announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Mike Borman, president and chief executive officer of the Company, to fill a vacancy on the Board of Directors, effective immediately following the conclusion of the Company's Annual Meeting of Stockholders on October 7, 2010.

Mr. Borman joined Blue Coat as president and chief executive officer on August 31, 2010. At that time, Brian NeSmith, the former president and chief executive officer, moved into the newly created position of chief product officer.
