Best Buy will move out of its existing 120,000-square-foot distribution center in Earth City, where about 30 employees work. Duke Realty has broken ground on a new 250,000-square-foot industrial facility in St. Peters' Premier 370 industrial park for Best Buy, which is expected to use the building as a distribution center to service customers in a 300-mile radius. Construction on the project, which is estimated to cost around $14 million, is expected to be complete by July. Matt Hrubes is vice president of leasing and development for Duke in St. Louis. The company announced another 300,000-square-foot speculative facility is also being planned nearby. That building would be built for an estimated $17 million.
