Basant Agro Tech (India) Limited reported unaudited earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended September 30, 2017. For the quarter, the company reported revenue from operations of INR 523.335 million against INR 571.924 million a year ago. Total income from operations was INR 524.633 million against INR 572.643 million a year ago. Profit from operations before exceptional and extraordinary items and tax was INR 4.636 million against INR 4.313 million a year ago. Profit before tax was INR 4.636 million against INR 4.313 million a year ago. Profit for the period was INR 3.363 million against INR 3.327 million a year ago. Earnings per basic and diluted share (before and after extraordinary item) was INR 0.04 against INR 0.04 a year ago.

Basant Agro Tech (India) Limited is an India-based company, which is engaged in manufacturing of various farm inputs in India comprising of nitrogen phosphorus and potassium (NPK) mixture granulated fertilizers, phosphatic fertilizer as well as various hybrid seeds. It also engaged in business of generating power through Wind Turbine and operating and maintaining warehousing and cold storage facilities. The Company's segment includes Seeds, Fertilizers, LABSA and Others. Its Fertilizers segment includes NPK fertilizers and single super phosphate (SSP) fertilizers. Its Seeds segment offers seeds for vegetables, such as bitter gourd, bottle gourd, brinjal, cluster bean, coriander, cowpea and more; field crops, such as hybrid maize, black and green grams, paddy, wheat, hybrid sorghum and more; and oil seeds, such as mustard, hybrid cotton, ground nut, soybean and sunflower. The Companyâs production facilities are located in different states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh.
