Baraka Power Limited is a power generating company which generates and supplies power in Bangladesh. The principal activity of the Company is to set up power plants for the generation and supply of electricity. The Companyâs principal product is electricity. The Company supplies electricity to the Bangladesh power development board (BPDB) through the national grid. It generates electricity through its approximately 51-megawatt (MW) power plant located at Fenchugonj, Sylhet, and supplies to the national grid. The Company through its subsidiary Baraka Patenga Power Limited (BPPL) designs, finances, insures, construct, own, commission, operate, and maintain over 50 MW heavy fuel oil (HFO) fired power generating facility at South Patenga, Chittagong. The Company builds, owns, and operates (BOO) the electricity generation facility and sell electricity output to BPDB.
