B&M European Value Retail S A : Opens Brand New Store in Wigan with Garden Centre

Customers in Wigan were delighted this morning following the grand opening of their brand new B&M Store and garden centre.

The new 24,441sqft. store offers an even bigger selection of great bargains from big brands across a variety of departments.

The store's Garden Centre boasts 3,627sq. ft. of quality garden supplies, selling hundreds of plant varieties and gardening essentials.

The colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community. They chose the team from The Brick to take centre stage and officially unveil the new B&M store.

The Brick are a social justice charity who provide a safe, solid building block for people who are experiencing complex issues that cause financial hardship to make positive changes - for good. They tackle the root causes of poverty and encourage aspiration. Services that are included by The Brick include: emergency and supported accommodation, an affordable food community, a street outreach and engagement service team, training and employment support. Their overall aim is to create a society where all people have the right to equal life chances regardless of socio-economic background.

The store manager from B&M said: "We're feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs for local people, and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store."

The store manager also commented: "The Brick really stood out for us, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done. We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do."
