AutoCanada Inc. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was CAD 1,281.055 million compared to CAD 727.447 million a year ago. Operating income was CAD 66.153 million compared to operating loss of CAD 4.388 million a year ago. Net income was CAD 36.045 million compared to net loss of CAD 19.689 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was CAD 1.33 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of CAD 0.72 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was CAD 1.23 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of CAD 0.72 a year ago. For the half year, sales was CAD 2,250.879 million compared to CAD 1,436.273 million a year ago. Operating income was CAD 107.817 million compared to operating loss of CAD 33.336 million a year ago. Net income was CAD 56.879 million compared to net loss of CAD 66.374 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was CAD 2.1 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of CAD 2.42 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was CAD 1.95 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of CAD 2.42 a year ago.
