AU Optronics Corp. Announces Executive Changes, Effective March 1, 2018

AU Optronics Corp. announced its new personnel arrangement. TY Lin, Senior Associate Vice President, will be promoted to Vice President & General Manager of AUO’s Mobile Solutions Business Group. Vice President Sean Chen will be transferred to the Corporate Development Office. The Company will set up a new Sustainability Development with Amy Ku, incumbent Vice President of Human Resource, being the Chief Sustainability Officer. The new personnel arrangement will be in effect on March 1, 2018. TY Lin, the new Vice President & General Manager of AUO’s Mobile Solutions Business Group joined AUO in 1998 and had since then worked in various functions including manufacturing and quality management, and had also been transferred to BenQ Materials to serve as President. In 2015, Lin returned to AUO and headed the Video Solutions Product Business Unit and then Solar Business. Sean Chen, the current head of Mobile Solutions Business Group, will serve as Vice President of Corporate Development Office to set and promote company development strategies, and to lead intellectual property management and build patent strategies. Chen has served as head of diverse functions including manufacturing, sales and marketing of video solutions display products, and operation of the Mobile Solutions Business Group. AUO’s Sustainability Development is the newly established function based on the core concept of corporate sustainable management. Amy Ku, the new Chief Sustainability Officer, will be in charge of the strategic direction of corporate sustainable development, stakeholder relations and communication, and corporate sustainable culture building and promotion. It is hoped that through concrete targets and execution, the Chief Sustainability Officer, serving as the center, will help drive even more momentum for sustainability to take hold in all respects.
AUO Corp is a Taiwan-based company mainly engaged in the research, development, manufacture and sale of thin film transistor liquid crystal displays (TFT-LCD). The Company operates its business through two segments: Display and Energy.
