At the end of February Atria announced the acquisition of the convenience food business Gooh! from Lantmännen Cerealia. The deal is now approved by Swedish authorities and has been fully completed. Atria owns the entire share capital of the newly formed company Atria Gooh AB. All 65 employees will join Atria in the transition.
"It is very gratifying that the deal is now fully completed, and we look forward to taking the next step and developing Gooh! together with the employees in Järna. For us, this is a strategic and long-term acquisition to grow in the convenience food category, says Jarmo Lindholm, EVP, Atria Sweden.
Lantmännen has owned Gooh! since the start in the early 2000s and has developed Gooh! into a reputable brand with high market shares. Today, Gooh! serves about 5 million dishes annually through outlets throughout Sweden.
"We greatly value the trust that Lantmännen has built up for the Gooh! brand over the years and for the competence of the employees in Järna. The business fits perfectly with Atria and we see great opportunities to now take further steps in product development and offerings for the Swedish market going forward" continues Jarmo Lindholm.
