Atlantic Gold NL (ASX: ATV) is pleased to announce that it has appointed
Mr Wally Bucknell to the position of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer effective immediately. Mr Bucknell was previously the Company's only Executive Director and this appointment formally recognises the function he presently performs.

Mr Bucknell's total remuneration package remains unchanged at $300,840 per annum. The Board proposes to grant Mr W Bucknell up to 10 million options under the Atlantic Gold NL Director/Employee Share Option Plan, subject to shareholder approval. Details of the proposed grant of those options will be included in the Company's Notice of Annual General Meeting which will despatched to shareholders by the end of this month.
