Asian Terminals, Inc. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2020. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was PHP 2,474.525 million compared to PHP 3,409.663 million a year ago. Net income was PHP 679.107 million compared to PHP 1,032.378 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was PHP 0.34 compared to PHP 0.52 a year ago. For the half year, sales was PHP 5,052.797 million compared to PHP 7,037.423 million a year ago. Net income was PHP 1,151.269 million compared to PHP 2,143.402 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was PHP 0.58 compared to PHP 1.07 a year ago.
Asian Terminals, Inc. is a Philippines-based company that provides general services with respect to the operation and management of port terminals. The Company operates and manages the South Harbor Port of Manila and the Port of Batangas in Batangas City. The container terminal division handles stevedoring, arrastre, warehousing, storage, cranage, container freight station and other port-related services for international cargoes. Its inland clearance depot and empty container depot (Laguna) is a customs bonded facility that provides storage, trucking, just-in-time delivery, brokerage and maintenance and repair services for its clients. The Company, through its subsidiary, ATI Batangas, Inc., is the sole cargo handling contractor operating at the Port of Batangas. It operates and manages the Batangas Supply Base within the Port of Batangas under a contract with Shell Philippines Exploration B.V. The Company is developing a barge terminal in Tanza, Cavite, to cater to PEZA cargoes.
