Advanced Semiconductor Engineering Inc. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year December 31, 2016. For the quarter, the company reported total net revenue of TWD 77,128 million against TWD 75,548 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 8,129 million against TWD 6,801 million a year ago. Income before tax was TWD 9,680 million against TWD 6,290 million a year ago. Net income attributable to shareholders of the parent was TWD 7,976 million against TWD 4,708 million a year ago. Diluted EPS for the quarter is TWD 0.86 against TWD 0.60 a year ago. Capital expenditures in fourth quarter 2016 totaled $127 million, of which $87 million were used in packaging operations, $30 million in testing operations, $6 million in EMS operations and $4 million in interconnect materials operations.
For the full year, the company reported total net revenue of TWD 274,884 million against TWD 283,302 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 26,704 million against TWD 24,884 million a year ago. Income before tax was TWD 28,052 million against TWD 25,006 million a year ago. Net income attributable to shareholders of the parent was TWD 21,692 million against TWD 19,197 million a year ago. Diluted EPS for the quarter is TWD 2.35 against TWD 2.41 a year ago. For the full year of 2016, it spent $683 million for capital expenditures, including $397 million in packaging operations, $241 million in testing operations, $22 million in EMS operations and $23 million in interconnect materials operations.
