Amman, Jordan: Bank ABC in Jordan co-sponsored The Second Sports Conference organized by the National Orthodox School - Shmaisani, under the title of "Sports and Sustainable Development Goals" on Sunday 20thNovember 2022.
In close cooperation with the University of Jordan/the department of Sport Science and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), the conference offered its attendees who represented private and governmental schools a unique opportunity to communicate and discuss the role of sports in Jordan in achieving 16 sustainable development goals, and to understand how to utilize it optimally to reach the desired objectives and to make sports the right place not only for fun and physical fitness, but also for creating integrated and peaceful communities.
The bank's sponsorship to this event stems from its belief in the importance of sports for physical and psychological health on one hand, and its role in the development of societies by producing more healthy and productive individuals on the other hand. In this context, the participants discussed and stressed, in a special session, the role of sports in creating peaceful communities where no one is marginalized. At the end of the conference, the school awarded Bank ABC as a gesture of recognition for sponsoring the event.
