The European Commission has decided to close its antitrust investigation into Apple's alleged anti-competitive behavior regarding some of the conditions it applies to certain application developers for the use of its App Store in the European Economic Area.

Today's final decision does not concern the two other antitrust investigations specifically concerning music streaming (AT.40437) and electronic books/audio books (AT.40652).) and e-books/audiobooks (AT.40652).

The EU clarifies that the closure of an investigation does not constitute a conclusion that the behavior in question complies with EU competition rules.

The Commission will continue to monitor business practices in the European technology sector, including those of Apple, under both the DMA and competition rules.
