FEASTERVILLE, PA - Hunter Spring Products, a leader in mechanical and electrical retractable cord reels for more than 50 years, has developed a new family of cable reels specifically designed for medical applications: DuraReel™ medical cord reels.
All contact surfaces (housing, ball stop, retractable cord and plug) on DuraReel medical cord reels have been molded with an antimicrobial additive to protect the cord reel from mold, mildew and odor. The treatment will not wash off or diminish over time, and the surface of the reel is smooth and easy to clean.
The durable 7.5-inch diameter reels are ETL certified to UL355 and UL60601-1 standards and feature heavy-duty 14/3 hospital grade cord in a durable white/grey high-impact plastic case. The reel retracts smoothly and safely stores ten feet of cable standard. It features threaded inserts for easy mounting and an optional mounting bracket.
Hunter Spring cable reels feature an automatic pawl and ratchet system that securely locks the cord at any desired length. A slight tug is all that is required to start the retraction mechanism. A standard ball stop keeps the cord within easy reach.
