Altice USA : News 12 to Host Local Book Club Series This Summer

News 12's Book Club Series, Curated by Amazon Books, Features Local Tri-State Area Authors and Settings

Long Island, New York (May 20, 2024) - News 12 today announced an all-new local Book Club series that will air across all News 12 Networks beginning May 23 at 7:30 am ET. Each four-week long series will feature a new book curated by Amazon Books, written by local authors, and set in the local communities of News 12 viewers.

As part of News 12's Book Club series, which will air every Thursday from May 23 through August 15 as part of network's morning shows, the authors of each featured book will be invited to join in-studio for firsthand discussions with News 12's anchors and viewers.

Specifically, on News 12 New Jersey and News 12 Connecticut, the News 12 Book Club series will feature three books with ties to New Jersey, starting with Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness, written by Susannah Cahalan.

On News 12 Long Island, News 12 The Bronx, News 12 Brooklyn, News 12 Hudson Valley, and News 12 Westchester, the series will feature three books with ties to New York, starting with The Vacation Rental, by Katie Sise. Other authors featured this summer include Ann Napolitano, James McBride, Madeleine Henry, and Marc Guggenheim.

The series schedule across all networks is as follows:

• Book One: May 23 - June 13
• Book Two: June 20 - July 18 (skipping the week July 4)
• Book Three: July 25 - August 15
