We strive to keep the art of calligraphy alive and develop

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Albaraka Türk Deputy General Manager Mehmet Fatih Yorulmaz said, "Calligraphy is one of the most elegant arts, especially Islamic arts. Calligraphy brings sense and aesthetics together. The importance of sense in our lives is obvious. Everything we do as conscious beings revolves around a sense. Therefore, sense is indispensable for us. As Albaraka Türk, we have been supporting the art of calligraphy for nearly 20 years with this perspective. We care about preserving and promoting Islamic arts such as illumination, miniature, tile and marbling art, especially calligraphy, increasing the interest in these arts and supporting art masters. As Albaraka Türk, our calligraphy competition, which we organize every 3 years, is considered one of the most prestigious calligraphy competitions in the world. Every year, we organize our competitions under a different theme in the branches of celî thuluth, thuluth, thuluth- naskh, celî talik and celî divani. Nearly 200 works from 16 countries from all over the world, including the USA, Russia, Spain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Egypt, participate. These works, which were selected from among the 200 works that participated in our competition, came together in this exhibition as of today. We are very happy and proud to add these works, which were deemed worthy of an award as a result of the sensitive evaluations of our jury members, who are masters in

Islamic arts, to our collection and present them to your viewing beforehand."

Award-winning works can be visited at Taksim Mosque Exhibition Hall until 28 April.
