Agellis receives an order for more than 1 MSEK for delivery to a Mexican steel plant

The AGELLIS Group who develop systems and solutions for the global metals industry has received an order for an upgrade of a measurement instrument with a value of more than 1 MSEK for delivery to a Mexican steel plant.

The EMLI SIL instrument is used for slag detection in the metal flow from ladles. The instrument gives an alarm when slag is detected as all the steel is teemed from the ladle; this ensures that only a minimum of slag reaches the tundish. The steel plant has used the previous generation EMLI instrument for 15 years and it has performed very well. With the upgrade to the new generation of EMLI system, the customer gets a state-of- the-art instrument with many new features, including the possibility for online service from Agellis in Sweden.

”Agellis has more than 100 customers around the world using EMLI systems in their steelmaking process, we are working on moving more of them over to the new generation of EMLI”, says Mårten Öbrink, CEO at Agellis.

Agellis does not disclose the names of our customers, unless given permission to do so.
