First Manhattan Operations Roundtable

Pro US launched its US re/insurance operations roundtable last Tuesday in Manhattan to an audience of 24 senior operations managers/executives across 12 different industry players. The day was filled with interactive discussions that operations managers face both in the day-to-day business and project work that is thrust upon them. Guest speaker Riccardo Baron, senior quantitative analyst & casualty modeler from Swiss Re, guided the group through the future of liability modelling. Swiss Re also was kind enough to sponsor the event and the office space at their Park Avenue offices.

The goal of the event was to create a forum and support network across the industry operations experts to share and grow together. Marcel Hegglin, Pro, US Director of Operational Consulting, led the group through a therapy session on systems implementation while Sergio Ibañez, Senior Vice President, Client Accounting Services, led the group through the value and challenges of building a global KPI framework.

'The ability to get so many talented people into one room for an afternoon is a success itself and proof of excellence in operations,' said Hegglin. 'We, as operations experts and executives, are accountable for the accuracy of the great deals that the front office underwrites. We are the front line for smoothing and soothing client relationships across the organizations. It was truly an honor to share best practices and to commence on this journey together,' he added.
