Rise nearly wiped out in wake of weak Wall Street opening

Piazza Affari regains much of its morning rise after Wall Street's weak opening, in line with other European bourses.

Banks, which led a rebound in the early part of the session and are now weighed down by the less-than-encouraging results of some large U.S. banks, led by JP Morgan, retrace above all.

The energy sector remains tonic thanks to the strength of crude oil.

Around 4 p.m., the Ftse Mib rose 0.2 percent.

SAIPEM and AMPLIFON remain at the top of the list with rises above 3 percent, INTERPUMP and STELLANTIS deteriorate, at -3.4 percent and -4.9 percent, respectively.
