US Standard Products (USSP) partnered with the Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ), Southern Branch, to help fight hunger during the holiday season. USSP’s contribution was earmarked for turkey dinners for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The mission of the Community FoodBank New Jersey is “to fight hunger and poverty in New Jersey by assisting those in need and seeking long-term solutions.” The Southern Branch of CFBNJ assists residents in Cape May, Cumberland, Atlantic and part of Burlington Counties.
“The Thanksgiving meals that were provided to 76 adults and children living in temporary housing at a local hotel were welcomed with tremendous enthusiasm and were greatly appreciated by all who received them,” said Evelyn Benton, Executive Director, Southern Branch, Community FoodBank of New Jersey. “We duplicated the effort again for Christmas!”
USSP’s support enables CFBNJ to distribute nearly $10 worth of food for every dollar donated to the organization.
