The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service program, at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center, 1710 N. Farm-to-Market 3053, will be $25 if preregistered by Feb. 21 and $35 on-site.

A CDwith herbicide price comparisons updated for 2018 will be provided to help applicators make economic choices, said Dr. Vanessa Corriher-Olson, AgriLife Extension forage specialist, Overton.

Corriher-Olson; Dr. Jason Banta, AgriLife Extension beef cattle specialist, Overton, and Dr. Allen Knutson, AgriLife Extension entomologist, Dallas, will cover the following topics:

- Effective weed control with weed identification, proper timing and herbicide.

- Forage insect pests and control.

- Saving money by understanding active ingredients, residual control and herbicide cost.

- Pesticide use laws and regulations.

Five Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units, one laws and regulations, one integrated pest management and three general, will be available. Local pesticide and agriculture equipment businesses will have booths set up at the program.
