Stream, a leading direct selling company and provider of essential services, announces its support of Texas Tornado Benefit, happening Sunday, January 10 in Garland. Proceeds from the free concert will go to The Salvation Army, who is directly providing assistance to victims of the tornados that struck North Texas on December 26, 2015. Doing its part to support victims, Stream has committed to matching donations made by Stream Associates (up to $10,000, for a total $20,000 commitment to the cause).

One of Stream’s own Independent Associates, Senior Director Vicky Gillispie, organized the benefit. Country singer SaraBeth (also one of Stream’s own Associates and a former Garland resident) is donating her talent to headline the concert. Those interested in supporting victims may donate here (Associates, please be sure to enter your Associate number when donating).

The series of tornadoes that ripped through North Texas the day after Christmas left 11 people dead, dozens injured and countless homeless. “When we saw the devastation in our own area just the day after Christmas, we instantly wanted to help out. We’re so proud of our Associate Vicky, who organized this benefit – it’s a great opportunity to partner with one of our own Associates and do our part to give back,” said Kimberly Girard, community relations and events manager, Stream. “We look forward to attending the benefit on Sunday.”

“I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of Stream – their commitment to match donations by our Associates is so incredible, and will surely contribute to the success of our benefit,” said Gillispie. “As a Garland resident, this means so much.”

Garland Mayor Douglas Athas and City Councilwoman Anita Goebel will be in attendance to offer their support, and NBC DFW anchor Kris Gutierrez will emcee the benefit. Additional presenters include Thelma Wells, international faith-based and corporate speaker, and 10-year old singer Marsaille from the Women of Faith tour.
