Among this year's nominees are Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt and Robert Downey Jr. for the atomic bomb blockbuster "Oppenheimer," which has the most nominations and is the frontrunner for the prestigious best picture trophy.

"Barbie" stars Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie brought the movie's pastel colors to the carpet. Robbie and director Greta Gerwig did not receive acting or directing nominations, but represented the film for its nomination in the best picture category.

Lily Gladstone, the frontrunner in the best actress race, represented "Killers of the Flower Moon," Martin Scorsese's film about murders of Indigenous Peoples in Oklahoma in the 1920s.

Winners of the 96th Academy Awards will be announced at a live, televised ceremony from Hollywood on March 10.
