National Oil Corporation held a meeting on Wednesday 13 January 2016 with DEA. Messrs. Mustafa Sanalla, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Abulgasem Shengheer, Member of the Board of Directors and General Manager of Exploration and Production Department, as well as a number of NOC mangers attended the meeting. Mr. Christoph Schlichter, Executive Vice President, North Africa and Mr. Sven Schaefer, the General Manager of the Company's Branch in Libya, in addition to a number of the Company's specialists, also attended the meeting.
The meeting explored ways to boost cooperation between the two Parties. It also discussed the current circumstances that the oil sector goes through and ways to overcome such circumstances.
These meetings are being held as a result of an invitation from NOC to the International Companies and within NOC's endeavor to mitigate the effects of the current circumstances that Libya and the international oil sector go through in the light of the prices slump and the Companies inability to return to resume their activities in Libya.
